Once you could find a piano just about anywhere, but not so much nowadays. Large baby grands, little spinets, and the upright have been replaced by smaller digital instruments, some with a keyboard even playable on a simple tablet screen.
What becomes of those bulky acoustic instruments that are so hard to dispose of? Many times they are abandoned somewhere and simply left behind. Over time, the veneer begins to peel, brown wood goes gray, and a white keyboard can be like bleaching white bones. It is then the day the old music died, one piano at a time.
