The Story

Snow came falling overnight in early Spring followed by a little welcoming sunlight the next day. At this cemetery gate, the first buds of March were on the trees and bushes as Spring tried to make her entrance, but she was stopped cold by Old Man Winter who wanted the final say. Of course, all his power to stop her simply melted away in a short time, and Jack in the Green came ’round not long afterward.

On a peaceful day quieted by new snow, this was a nice view down the distant blue mountains over the open cemetery gate. Even graveyard headstones look good in snow. Bare tree limbs always do. The sunlight across the snow looks inviting, even if it is a cemetery!
