The Story

In the early morning darkness, Everett Railroad steam locomotive#11 waits to leave Hollidaysburg station in this black-and-white night photograph. The steam pressure has reached the right amount, and the excess flies off into the night air, making a white rooster tail. Soon the steam locomotive will pull away from the Hollidaysburg station with the first train of the dy.
