The Story
A close-up of a large rock wall lapped by the waters of Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This is actually one side of a large water-made cave and the tour boat went right into it for a little drama and sensation. The rock curved high overhead and the water was very deep here. In fact, a short distance away from this point, Lake Superior reaches 1300 feet deep.
A few minutes later, the tour boat backed out of this cave hole and we went on our way.
Location: in the Great Lakes on Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Munising, Michigan.
