The Story
A restored Spad biplane roars overhead, trailing show smoke.
The Spad was a French design that stood up well against Axis planes during WWI. The airplane was mostly a wooden-framed aircraft covered with fabric, which was common at the time. It was a robust and successful fighter aircraft, and almost all Allied flying corps were using the Spad fighter plane by the end of WWI.
