Water Spirit #10567
Capturing the essence of water moving in the mountain woods, this close-up of a waterfall curtain flows over black layered rock at Ricketts Glen Park. Lichens and other small plants have a well-watered place to live along here, even behind the falling water that trickles and splashes.
This waterfall is one of 26 named falls in a remarkable place in the Pennsylvania woods: Ricketts Glen State Park. There is a long looping hiking trail along a steep mountainside to see all of them along with many smaller un-named waterfalls as well.
Location: Ricketts Glenn Park near Benton, Columbia, Luzerne, and Sullivan counties, Pennsylvania.
