The Story

These butterflies are composited on a colorful background cloth for a bright abstract photograph. This one, created in the studio and within the computer, is all about the vibrant color in two layers.

This abstract began with some photographs of spread butterflies that were taken years before. The next step was choosing an interesting photographic background to place them on was the next step.  It is a colorful, slightly psychedelic piece of cloth that might appear as a flying carpet. Hence the title of this abstract photograph that unusually uses organic butterflies.

I have run this abstract art picture on canvas for a local dentist’s office where it was hung on a lighter blue-grey wall. It suited perfectly, and is very striking!
