The Story

These wonderfully weathered colors surrounding the pocked chrome Chevrolet emblem are on a 1950’s vintage pickup in a Minnesota junkyard, and only time, exposure and a few different paint jobs can give this result. It is a very long process brought to you partly by Mother Nature. In this image, I also enjoy the curving lines of the body panels typical of vehicles from that era that help guide the composition, which was a fun yet deliberate one to set up and make even in the baking hot full sun of an August afternoon. The truck is #14498 seen elsewhere in this gallery.
