The Story

A formerly ritzy 1938 Packard with suicide doors has browned in the sun after years in a Minnesota junkyard. The upper crust has gone to rusty crust by the look of it, but the landscaping is nice this time of year. Ah yes, a grand retirement in the sun indeed.

The neighbors nearby have the same accommodations sitting in sunshine in their share of the high prairie grass. They’re mostly old farm tractors that have been stripped of parts, scattered all through the tall grass here and there in the background. Different than most other junkyards, there’s lots of room available on this particular retirement estate.

Location: rural Kandiyohi County near New London, Minnesota.
