Red Burst #13614

The Story

A vivid red fireworks burst explodes in the night sky against a smoky background left from the previous explosions. Radiant and expanding, the burst instantly takes over most of the night. An emphatic loud BOOM echoes against the nearby hills.

I came as an invited guest to this fireworks show and took the photographs as an experiment, to see if it was possible. Not every fireworks burst worked out, but I was happy with the ones that did. Not bad for fumbling around in the dark!

I’ve run prints of this on metallic paper, which really adds to the color and overall effect.
