Modern Railroads

These modern railroad pictures are an offshoot from chasing down the historical railroad things elsewhere, among other subjects. Of course, if given a chance, I certainly wouldn’t pass on getting a decent current-day railroad picture while out on a meander shooting other things!

I’m not a classic train chaser with a camera as they go, but always enjoy seeing one go by if I’m nearby. It’s not surprising having enjoyed trains since I was a kid. Even a train horn blowing in the distance gets my attention and I still like to hear the rumbling diesel locomotives. That early interest remains as seen in several other railroad galleries on this website.
