The Story

I enjoy seeing wind turbines at work, and although some say they don’t want them around, I am glad for the environmental relief they provide with sustainable energy. They are visually arresting and quite beautiful. Their size stuns me, as does the fact that the blade tip can turn as fast as 130 mph.

So then, what better than to capture these windmills on a beautiful sunny fall day with a beautiful basket-weave sky?

Location: reclaimed strip mine land outside Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
