The Story

Newly fallen snow can make many things stand out starkly, like this rusty old tricycle. It is actually in the middle of a summertime flower bed that is quite beautiful in season, but in winter, the situation looks pretty left behind, forgotten, and forlorn. This scene is certainly bare bones and the snow only accents the lost and left-behind wistfulness of it.

When winter comes, it is then you can see bare bones such as this after the foliage has been stripped away. Any new snowfall can make the usually hidden things show up rather well and objects can have a different appearance and emotional meaning like this old tricycle.

To tell the truth, sometimes I’m thankful a blanket of snow arrives to cover some of the rough spots.
