The Story
I have always found agate of all kinds fascinating so it was only natural to photograph it close up as shown here. The abstract art created from agate is appealing, colorful, and unusual and it’s done in the studio with careful even lighting.
This picture is one small section of a large flat-sawn agate slice the size of a dinner plate, nearly round and two inches thick. There were many little scenes to create with the different shapes and patterns all around the stone.
This agate piece was predominately in these colors, but I have used other slices in other colors.
