The Story

Red roses and ballet slippers with a weathered piano keyboard background photographed outdoors on a mirror. It’s a nice, happy splash of red, white, and blue to celebrate dance in an image.

Both the piano and mirror were found laying outside in a junk heap in the back corner of a country truck stop, and were found merely by chance when I stopped for breakfast there one morning. The truck stop isn’t far from home, so several trips were made to try different things with this piano.

It’s fun to make something from almost nothing. Since then, it has been nearly totally torn apart by vandals, and the mirror smashed into smithereens.
